The Saturday World Cup competition in Klingenthal did not transform the fortunes of the entire Polish team, but it offered another encouraging step for Kacper Tomasiak. The 18‑year‑old shone especially in the first round, placing fifth after the opening series. Although he slipped back in round two, he still finished as the highest‑placed Pole in Klingenthal.

The result brought more points for the overall standings and consolidated Tomasiak’s position as Poland’s best in the table. His total increased from 124 to 137 points, keeping him 14th overall despite tightening competition.

Among the other Poles, Kamil Stoch also scored to retain 21st place with 88 points. Piotr Żyła added a few to move to 71 points and sits 23rd. Dawid Kubacki remains stuck on 28 points in 33rd, with Maciej Kot on 24 points (36th) and Paweł Wąsek on 13 points (41st).

At the top of the overall standings, Domen Prevc continues to pull away. With another victory, the Slovenian climbed to 570 points and now has a clear lead. Fellow Slovenian Anže Lanišek kept second, but his deficit widened to 117 points. Ryoyu Kobayashi is third on 451 points, just two behind Lanišek and 119 behind Prevc.

Just outside the podium, the names are unchanged though the points shifted: Philipp Raimund sits fourth on 374, with Daniel Tschofenig fifth on 328. Stefan Kraft advanced to sixth (314), moving ahead of Ren Nikaido. Jan Hoerl, Felix Hoffmann and Stephan Embacher also solidified top‑10 places.

After eight competitions this season, Prevc is the firm Crystal Globe favourite, while the fight for the remaining podium spots remains tight. From a Polish perspective, Tomasiak’s steady scoring underscores his promise as a key figure for the national team.
