Kamil Stoch and Dawid Kubacki captured victory in the Summer Grand Prix pairs competition in Predazzo, Italy. Stoch posted 134.5 m and 135.5 m, making him the best overall performer of the contest thanks to his consistency, even though individual longer jumps were recorded by Ryoyu Kobayashi (141 m), Anže Lanišek, and even Kubacki (137.5 m).

Eighteen duos started, and early disqualifications—Weijie Zhen and Yevhen Marusiak—shook up the standings. After Kubacki’s final jump confirmed the win for the White-and-Reds, Stoch exploded with joy, literally jumping in celebration. “I’m happy that today we showed character as a team. It’s great that we could celebrate together with the guys—everyone feels it was our success,” Stoch said shortly after the competition.

The emphatic triumph and Stoch’s stable form are being read as an encouraging signal ahead of the upcoming Olympic season.
