The Saturday round of the Summer Continental Cup in Klingenthal produced high drama.
Sandro Hauswirth claimed victory with jumps of 134.0 m and 135.5 m, handling the lottery-like wind best. Rok Oblak finished second, and Felix Hoffmann completed the podium. After a strong first jump of 132.5 m, Poland’s Kacper Tomasiak—leader of the overall standings—slipped to eighth following a weaker second attempt of 127.5 m.
Jonas Schuster, Tomasiak’s closest rival for the overall, recovered from a middling 125.5 m in round one to soar 135.5 m in round two and take fifth.
There was a sensational moment in round one when Slovenia’s Domen Prevc was disqualified despite a record‑long 152 m flight that overshot the hill. Among the other Poles in the final round were Klemens Joniak (15th), Adam Niżnik (20th), and Jakub Wolny (29th). Tomasiak retains the lead in the overall Continental Cup standings.
