Poland’s men’s ski jumping team has struggled in the World Cup’s opening phase. After five competitions, the top-ranked Poles, Kamil Stoch and 18‑year‑old Kacper Tomasiak, are only tied for 16th overall. In the recent Ruka round, Tomasiak was the only Polish athlete to score points.

Polish Ski Association president Adam Małysz responded by saying he intends to speak with head coach Maciej Maciusiak about the team’s current form. In comments to Interia, Małysz emphasized this will not be a summons for a reprimand, but a conversation to understand what has happened. He added that it is too early for drastic measures and that he remains in regular contact with the coaching staff after competitions.

Małysz pointed out that Maciusiak inherited an aging A‑team, while most of the younger jumpers remain in the B team or junior ranks. He appealed for patience, noting he has observed the group’s heavy workload and consistent oversight from the staff, including positive feedback from base coaches such as Krzysztof Biegun. In his view, the effort should eventually yield results.

The World Cup now heads to Wisła, where two individual events are scheduled for December 6–7. These competitions present another chance for Polish jumpers to secure points and improve their standings in the overall classification.
