Crystal Globe leader Nozomi Maruyama (JPN) returned to winning ways at the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup in Klingenthal, Germany, capturing her fourth victory of the 2025/26 season. Maruyama jumped 130 m and 127 m to total 240.5 points, narrowly defeating double World Champion Nika Prevc (SLO), who finished on 239.5 points. Austria’s Lisa Eder completed the podium with 231.9 points.

The win strengthens Maruyama’s grip on the overall standings, where she now holds a 154‑point advantage over Prevc heading into Klingenthal’s second women’s World Cup event on Saturday. Prevc praised the level of competition, noting Maruyama is harder to beat than last year, while also expressing hope to build form as the season progresses.

Eder, shouldering added responsibility for Austria following Jacqueline Seifriedsberger’s retirement and Eva Pinkelnig’s injury, has already earned three podiums in the opening seven events after four in 2024/25. She reported overcoming a morning cold to perform strongly in the final round and is targeting another podium in the next competition.
