The Slovenian Nika Prevc made mistakes but still won the Two Nights Tour overall.
After taking the opening win in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the 20-year-old wobbled in the wind lottery at Oberstdorf and qualified only 17th for the final. That left her just one point ahead of Selina Freitag in the overall standings, with Freitag fourth after the first round.
Prevc kept her composure in the second round and produced a decisive 128.5 m jump, which earned her the best jump in the day rankings. Selina Freitag also improved in difficult conditions and, despite a 10-m shorter measured jump, scored enough points to finish third on the day. The day’s victory went to Canadian Abigail Strate, who celebrated her first World Cup win; China’s Ping Zeng was second.
In the final overall standings Prevc kept the lead and secured the Two Nights Tour title for the third time since the competition was introduced in December 2023. Selina Freitag finished second in the Tour. German veteran Katharina Schmid bid farewell to the hill with an emotional 11th place; team-mates Agnes Reisch (9th) and Juliane Seyfarth (16th) also collected World Cup points.
The third edition of the Two Nights Tour serves both as a standalone product with two German events and as promotion for a women's Four Hills Tournament.
