The Norwegian celebration continued as Norway claimed two Olympic medals in the women's large hill ski jump at Milano‑Cortina 2026.

Anna Odine Strøm produced a solid performance to take the gold medal in the women's large hill competition. This is her second Olympic gold at these Games, having already won in the normal hill earlier in the championships.

Eirin Maria Kvandal jumped to second place to secure the silver medal behind her teammate, meaning Norway took the top two spots — the first time in history for this event. "I'm so happy I can celebrate with her (Kvandal) forever now," Strøm said in her post‑victory interview with HBO Max. The bronze medal went to Slovenia's Nika Prevc.

All Norwegian starters jumped extremely well: Silje Opseth finished fifth and Heidi Dyhre Traaserud finished sixth, so every Norwegian competitor placed inside the top six.

After a sensational first round Norway occupied first through fourth place, with Kvandal briefly leading, Odine Strøm second, Opseth third and Traaserud fourth. Four Norwegians started in the final: Silje Opseth (bib 33), Eirin Maria Kvandal (39), Heidi Dyhre Traaserud (40) and Anna Odine Strøm (47).

Commentator Jørgen Klem praised the Norwegian dominance during the broadcast: “Norway owns the hill… we win everything,” he exclaimed. Strøm described the win as "incredible, absolutely fantastic" and credited the whole team's efforts.

This result completed a memorable night for Norway in Milano‑Cortina 2026 ski jumping: a historic Norwegian double on the women's large hill and another highlight in a championship already full of Norwegian success.
