The opening stop of the 74th Four Hills Tournament took place in Oberstdorf with World Cup training and qualifications.

Poland advanced all five athletes to Monday’s KO competition. Kamil Stoch led the team in 14th place in qualifying (jumps: 126 m / 126.5 m in training; 130.5 m in qualifying). Maciej Kot (117 m / 125 m; 126.5 m), Piotr Żyła (101 m / 119 m; 124 m), Kacper Tomasiak (118.5 m / 117 m; 124 m) and Paweł Wąsek (117.5 m / 124.5 m; 119.5 m) also progressed.

Domen Prevc won qualifying with 139.5 m. Philipp Raimund took second and Daniel Tschofenig third. Other notable results included Halvor Egner Granerud (130.5 m), Ryoyu Kobayashi (130.5 m), Anže Lanišek (130 m), Gregor Deschwanden (132.5 m), Jan Hörl (129.5 m), Jonas Schuster (130.5 m), Pius Paschke (127 m), Felix Hoffmann (126 m), and many others from a deep international field.

In earlier training, Austria’s Jan Hörl flew 140 m and Norway’s Halvor Egner Granerud led at one point with 134.5 m. The best trio in the second training was Jan Hörl, Domen Prevc, and Timi Zajc. Polish training form had been mixed with no top‑10s, raising concern particularly for Piotr Żyła, but qualifying went much better for the team.

A brief safety incident interrupted official training when a sponsor wall slid down onto the start area; the session was stopped and then resumed with no injuries.

KO pairings for the Oberstdorf competition were set following qualifying, including at least one all‑Polish duel. The Oberstdorf event inaugurates the Four Hills Tournament, with the main competition scheduled for Monday.
