Poland has confirmed its lineup for next weekend’s FIS Ski Jumping World Cup in Engelberg, Switzerland. According to Interia Sport journalist Tomasz Kalemba, the squad remains unchanged from the Klingenthal round.
Head coach Maciej Maciusiak has stuck with the same six athletes: Kacper Tomasiak, Kamil Stoch, Piotr Żyła, Dawid Kubacki, Paweł Wąsek and Maciej Kot.
The decision comes after a difficult weekend for the Polish team in Klingenthal, where they collected only 57 points toward the Nations Cup. The bright spot was 18‑year‑old Kacper Tomasiak’s strong first jump in Saturday’s competition, which had him fifth at the halfway point before he ultimately finished 18th—still the top Polish result of the day. On Sunday, no Pole scored inside the top 20 except Piotr Żyła, who placed 20th, and Tomasiak finished outside the points for the first time this season.
Despite the struggles, the staff is opting for continuity ahead of Engelberg, hoping to stabilize form before the holiday period and the approaching Four Hills Tournament.
