The Polish Ski Association has named the national team for the Summer Grand Prix finale in Klingenthal. Head coach Maciej Maciusiak selected six athletes, combining established stars with a notable teenage debutant.
The squad includes Dawid Kubacki, Kamil Stoch, Kacper Tomasiak, Paweł Wąsek, Aleksander Zniszczoł and Piotr Żyła. The selection draws attention for the inclusion of 18‑year‑old Kacper Tomasiak (AZS Zakopane), who is two decades younger than some teammates and is considered one of Poland’s biggest recent revelations in ski jumping.
Tomasiak won the Summer Continental Cup overall, securing an additional World Cup starting place for Poland for the 2025/26 season. In Klingenthal’s Continental Cup finale he placed fourth with jumps of 133.5 m and 144.5 m, and finished the series with 262 points, ahead of athletes such as Gregor Deschwanden and Tomofumi Naito. This marks Poland’s first overall victory in the Summer Continental Cup since 2019 and signals the rise of a promising new generation.
Poland’s summer form has been encouraging: Dawid Kubacki won in Râșnov, and the Stoch–Kubacki duo took the pairs competition in Predazzo. The Klingenthal finale (25–26 October) will wrap up the 2025 Summer Grand Prix and serve as the last dress rehearsal before the winter season opens in November in Lillehammer.
