Polish fans finally had reason to cheer after qualifying in Oberstdorf: all five Polish jumpers advanced to the opening event of the 74th Four Hills Tournament on the Schattenbergschanze.

Kamil Stoch was the top Pole in qualifying, placing 14th with a 130.5 m jump in what is his farewell Four Hills appearance. Maciej Kot (126.5 m, 19th), Piotr Żyła (124 m, 22nd), and Kacper Tomasiak (124 m) also delivered solid efforts. Paweł Wąsek (117.5 m, 32nd) qualified as well, easing concerns raised by earlier training jumps.

With the KO format pairings set for the first round, most Poles drew lower-ranked opponents. Stoch will meet Tomofumi Naito, Tomasiak faces Niko Kytösaho, and Żyła duels Artti Aigro. The one drawback is an all-Polish clash: Maciej Kot vs. Paweł Wąsek, guaranteeing only one of them can advance directly to the final series.

The Oberstdorf competition begins on Monday at 16:30, with the trial round at 15:00.
