Kamil Stoch and Dawid Kubacki captured victory in the duet event at the Summer Grand Prix in Predazzo, Italy, and the performance sparked a wave of enthusiasm among Polish ski jumping journalists and analysts.
Commentators lauded Stoch’s consistency and power, pointing to his jump sequence of 134.5 m, 134.5 m, and 135.5 m as evidence of top form. “That’s the Kamil Stoch we’d love to see every day — a perfect day for the three-time Olympic champion,” wrote Adam Bucholz of Skijumping.pl. Others, including colleagues from Przegląd Sportowy Onet and Sport.pl, described Stoch as energized and suggested the result could mark a real turning point after a challenging stretch.
Dominik Formela (Skijumping.pl) underlined that the competition doubled as a pre-Olympic test, quipping that “Predazzo can still be Polish,” a nod to the venue’s history of strong Polish results. TVP Sport’s Mateusz Leleń went further, listing Stoch alongside Jan Hörl and Ryoyu Kobayashi as the three jumpers currently capable of delivering something special.
The win, achieved together with Dawid Kubacki, keeps Poland in the spotlight during the summer circuit and fuels optimism for the coming winter season.
