Slovenian ski jumper Domen Prevc claimed victory on Saturday in Engelberg (Switzerland), reinforcing his lead in the overall World Cup standings. He topped Germany’s Felix Hoffmann and Japan’s Ren Nikaido on the podium.
France’s Valentin Foubert continued his strong early-season form—after fourth and fifth places in Klingenthal and Ruka—by finishing 12th in Engelberg. His competition was highlighted by a powerful second jump, the fifth-best of the round, which lifted him 15 places in the ranking.
In women’s action, the Prevc family almost celebrated a double: Nika Prevc was pipped at the line by Japan’s Nozomi Maruyama. All the jumpers return on Sunday for a second World Cup event in Engelberg.
