Three‑time World Champion and Olympic gold medallist Stefan Kraft (AUT) claimed victory in Falun (SWE), a result that lifted him to the top of the all‑time FIS Ski Jumping World Cup points list. Entering the only Normal Hill event of the 2025/26 season needing at least a top‑four to pass Janne Ahonen’s 15,758 career points, Kraft’s win set a new benchmark of 15,811.

Kraft secured the triumph with jumps of 97.5 m and 96.5 m for 249.9 points. Anže Lanišek (SLO) finished second with 247.7 points, while Philipp Raimund (GER) was third on 244.9 after soaring to a new hill record of 99.5 m in the second round.

The Austrian also matched other historic milestones: at 32, his 46th individual World Cup victory equals Matti Nykänen’s all‑time record, and his Falun success makes Sweden the 12th country where he has won a World Cup, tying Gregor Schlierenzauer’s mark. “That’s a really special win today,” Kraft told FIS, noting the significance of overtaking Ahonen’s points total and drawing level with Nykänen’s win record. He added that nerves helped sharpen his aggressive style in ideal jumping conditions.

Falun hosted men’s World Cup competition for the first time since 2014, offering clear skies and little wind. Reigning Crystal Globe holder Daniel Tschofenig (AUT) led morning qualification, held just 36 hours after Lillehammer’s round. World Cup leader Ryoyu Kobayashi (JPN) qualified only 30th but improved to fourth in the main event. Vladimir Zografski (BUL) advanced from 49th in qualification to share fifth with Stephan Embacher (AUT) and Raimund after the first round; Kraft led with a 97.5 m hill record, followed by Lanišek and Tschofenig.

In the final, Raimund’s 99.5 m leap reset the hill record and put pressure on the leaders. Tschofenig and then Lanišek both dropped a gate to seek bonus points, with Lanišek’s 96 m jump taking the lead before Kraft, moving the gate back up, delivered 96.5 m and won by 2.2 points.

Kraft, who has now stood on a World Cup podium in 14 consecutive seasons, plans to compete in Falun’s Large Hill event next before skipping the Ruka World Cup in Finland due to the imminent birth of his child.
