Anna Twardosz performed an impressive jump of 105m under challenging conditions in the World Cup competition held in Engelberg, positioning her in eighth place when the event was called off. Unfortunately, just before the end of the first round, the competition was canceled due to worsening weather, much to the disappointment of competitors and fans alike. Despite this setback, Twardosz's recent performance marked her first point-scoring event in this season and demonstrated her progress, especially after winning the Continental Cup competition in Lillehammer just a week prior, a historic achievement for Polish women's ski jumping.
Given the difficult weather conditions that affected the competition's flow, it is a testament to her abilities that she managed to perform so well. With seven competitors still to jump, her prospective ranking could have dramatically improved, setting her up for a remarkable personal achievement had the competition continued. Unfortunately, the cancellation not only disappointed Twardosz but cast a shadow over the men's competition scheduled for later in the day.
