The ski jumping season 2024/2025 is over, and the results were lackluster for Polish ski jumpers, particularly for Piotr Żyła. He scored in only nine competitions this year and even fell to the Continental Cup at one point. As a result, his earnings were notably low, totaling only 12,700 Swiss Francs, approximately 55,000 zł, marking one of his weakest seasons financially.

In the previous season, he had placed 6th in the overall rankings but this year he faced setbacks, finishing in 39th place overall.

While Żyła struggled, Paweł Wąsek emerged as the best Polish jumper this season, earning 80,000 Swiss Francs (around 352,000 zł). Aleksander Zniszczoł also performed well with earnings of 39,000 Swiss Francs. Kamil Stoch and Dawid Kubacki earned 23,500 and 21,000 Swiss Francs, respectively.

In addition to competition earnings, sponsorship plays a crucial role in a jumpers' income. Żyła faced difficulties this season, as he was without a sponsor on his helmet for most of the year, which has affected his financial situation. Previously sponsored by Grupa Azoty, he struggled to attract significant investment after the controversies surrounding the Clout MMA events. However, he recently announced a partnership with Lotto and is also the face of Milka chocolates.

In summary, it was a disappointing season for Żyła, both in performances and financial outcomes, indicating a significant downturn in his career's recent trajectory. He will need to recover his competitive form if he hopes to regain his previous standing in the sport.
