An 18‑year‑old Polish ski jumper, Kacper Tomasiak, battled for the podium in Sunday’s World Cup event in Engelberg and ultimately finished fifth, equaling his career best. That result propelled him up the overall World Cup standings: he climbs from 16th (157 pts) to 13th with 202 points, just 95 shy of 10th place.

Among the other Poles, Kamil Stoch remains 23rd on 110 points. Piotr Żyła stays 25th with 96 points after missing the second round on Sunday. Dawid Kubacki drops from 35th to 36th with 31 points.
