Domen Prevc strengthened his grip on the overall World Cup lead following victory in Sunday’s competition in Klingenthal. With the maximum points from the day, the 26‑year‑old Slovenian now sits on 670 points.

Behind him, there were notable changes. Ryoyu Kobayashi climbed to second overall after an excellent performance, finishing behind only Prevc and Ren Nikaido in the Klingenthal event; the Japanese star now has 531 points. Anže Lanišek slipped to third on 459 points. The top ten is rounded out by Philipp Raimund, Ren Nikaido, Daniel Tschofenig, Stefan Kraft, Jan Hoerl, and a tie between Felix Hoffmann and Stephan Embacher.

Poland had a difficult weekend. Kacper Tomasiak, still the best‑placed Pole in the standings, failed to reach the second round for the first time this season and remains on 137 points, dropping to 16th. Kamil Stoch also missed the points on Sunday and stays at 88 points in 22nd overall. Piotr Żyła’s 20th place in Klingenthal brought him to 82 points and up to 24th, just six behind Stoch. Dawid Kubacki (34th overall, 31 points), Maciej Kot (37th, 24 points) and Paweł Wąsek (38th, 23 points) also scored modestly.

The World Cup continues next weekend in Engelberg, Switzerland—the last event before the traditional Four Hills Tournament over the New Year period.
